Parenting Strategies Class

Officials at Benton Harbor Area Schools have tried several ways to get parents more involved with their children and their education.

Free parenting classes are being held Wednesday evenings at STEAM Academy at MLK, 750 E. Britain. The classes are taught by professionals from Andrews University in Berrien Springs. They are funded through the $2 million Public Safety/Gang Prevention Grant from the Michigan Department of Education, said grant coordinator Rita Seay.
