Neighbor to Neighbor Benefit Concert

Campus News | Posted on March 1, 2018

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 8 p.m., Andrews University will host its Symphony Orchestra in the Howard Performing Arts Center for a concert benefiting the expansion project of Neighbor to Neighbor, a crucial ministry in the Berrien Springs area.

The concert will feature acclaimed pianist Chi Yong Yun as the guest soloist in Beethoven’s “Concerto No. 4” in addition to Brahm’s “3rd Symphony, Op. 90.” The program will also include Rosinni’s “Overture ‘La Gazza Ladra.’” The orchestra will perform under the direction of Claudio Gonzalez.

Admission to the concert is free. Please come with a generous heart for this important fundraiser.

The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra is the core ensemble of the orchestral program at Andrews University and travels within the Great Lakes region as well as internationally. This will be the last symphonic concert of the year, as during the orchestra’s usual April concert, the ensemble will accompany the opera “Street Scene,” by the German-American composer, Kurt Weill.
