Certified Interpretive Guide Class

Community Announcements | Posted on September 27, 2018

Have you ever wanted to work for a park, zoo, museum or history center? Then you should be interested in becoming a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG), the standard for the field. Join us for a CIG course in the Whirlpool Room, Chan Shun Hall, October 9 and 10, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., October 16, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., and October 17, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., with an hour lunch break each day.

It is only $10 if you want to "just" attend the class, gain the knowledge and obtain the workbook.

If you would like to be certified, that would be an extra $150. We are volunteering our time so anyone here at Andrews that would like can come for this price, but this also includes a one year membership to the National Association of Interpretation (a great "professional membership" to add to a resume)!

Here is the link to register: interpnet.com/nai/nai/_events/Event_Display.aspx?EventKey=CIG100918.

And for students that want to take it and get certified there is a student discount. The promo code is: CIG-CARDINAL18.

You do have to come to all of it to get certified.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Thanks!
