"ARTIST LICENSES" Exhibit Opens January 15

A new art exhibit will begin in The ART Gallery, Harrigan Hall, on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The opening reception takes place from 6–8 p.m. 

The exhibit features the recent work of Greg Constantine, emeritus research professor of art and artist-in-residence at Andrews University. "ARTIST LICENSES" consists of license plates that display quotes by and about artists as well as other quotes and commentary on culture, including cars, movies and New York City. The license plates are hand-crafted by Constantine using oil and acrylic on vacuum-formed styrene (plastic)—they are convincing illusions of actual plates, establishing another variation of text art.
