Adriana Perera is professor of music theory and composition at Andrews University. She is a prolific composer with her main interest being sacred music. More than 200 sacred pieces written by her are currently performed by choirs, orchestras and soloists around the world. This concert of her compositions will be performed by various artists. The University Singers and the Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Zork, will also be performing during the second part of the program.

The title "Crossing Point. Songs of an Immigrant" refers to the intersection between people that come from different places in life.
