University Forum: Jemar Tisby

Jemar Tisby is president of The Witness: A Black Christian Collective, co-host of the podcast Pass the Mic, and author of the 2019 book "The Color of Compromise." He writes about issues of history, race, justice and Christianity. A native of the Chicago-area and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he spent several years teaching sixth grade with Teach For America and is currently a PhD student in History at the University of Mississippi.
