Project for Clubs, Classes, Departments, etc.!

The Harbor of Hope Church has been blessed with FIFTY disaster response flood buckets, but they are empty! We think filling at least one would be a great project for a Pathfinder club, clubs at Andrews, a Sabbath school class, classes at the local grade schools, a Grow Group, a University department, and even a home school. The options are seemingly endless. We need your help so we can help the community in case another flood occurs.

Most of the items can be found at the "Dollar Trees," and here is the list: 

Flood Buckets for Harbor of Hope

These cleaning supplies enable the survivor to begin the overwhelming job of cleanup after a flood or hurricane.

  • 5-gallon bucket with re-sealable lid
  • 5 scouring pads
  • Sponges, 7 pack, assorted sizes
  • 1 scrub brush
  • 18 cleaning towels (reusable wipes)
  • Liquid laundry detergent, two 25 oz. or one 50 oz. bottle
  • 1 household cleaner, 12–16 oz. bottle
  • Disinfectant dish soap, 16–28 oz. bottle
  • 50 clothes pins
  • Clothes line, two 50 ft. or one 100 ft. 
  • 5 dust masks
  • 2 pairs latex gloves
  • 1 pair work gloves
  • 24-bag roll of heavy-duty trash bags (33–45 gallon—remove roll from box before placing in bucket)
  • Insect repellant spray, 6–9 oz. (pump, drop or lotion, NOT aerosol)
  • Air freshener, 8 or 9 oz. (NOT aerosol)
