Death of Beverly Oliver

Beverly Oliver, 91, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15. She was the mother of Patty Hinman, administrative assistant for the Office of Plant Administration, and grandmother of Kory Hinman, who works for Arboretum/Grounds. Patty's husband, Brad, also works at Andrews as associate professor of counselor education in the Department of Graduate Psychology & Counseling.

A family service was held on Friday, June 26, at Rosehill Cemetery.

Obituary

Beverly Oliver, 91, of Berrien Springs, Michigan, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020, at her home.

Beverly was born July 31, 1928, in Jackson, Michigan, to William & Lillian (Drown) Freeman. On March 28, 1946, she married James Thomas Oliver in Jackson, Michigan. Beverly was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, canning, doing puzzles and reading, especially her Bible and spiritual books.

Beverly is survived by her children Mary (John) Segura, James Oliver, Richard (Evy) Oliver and Patty (Brad) Hinman; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Gene Freeman, three sisters Ivy Freeman, Ruby Thompson and Bernice Omens, and one grandchild.
