In March of 2019, the senior nursing class embarked on a journey to serve.  Every year, the school of nursing teaches the course Intercultural Mission Service in Nursing to senior nursing students.  The main part of this course is a mission service project to people of a different culture.  This year, the School of Nursing collaborated with We Care Mission Trips of the Center for Youth Evangelism to minister to the people of Santa Elena in Belize.

The students worked in various departments of La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital and participated in much needed manual hospital inventory tracking project.  In addition, the students interacted with local students through offering health education through fun games and activities.  Dr. Ade-Oshifogun, the school chair offered CPR training for the schoolteachers.  The students also led out in the worship service of a local church.  The mission team was blessed to be part of Christ’s ministry through serving the people of Belize.
