Dr. Kylynda Bauer (BA ’14, BS ’14) will be presenting “The Gut Microbiota Influences Health: A Malnutrition Report” on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. EDT on Zoom as part of the Andrews Webinar Series and the Global Celebration of Andrews activities.

A J.N. Andrews Honors Scholar, Kylynda graduated from Andrews University with a BA in music and BS in biology in 2014. She recently received a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of British Columbia, Canada. A Vanier recipient, Kylynda’s doctoral research in Dr. B. Brett Finlay’s lab explored how gut microbes influence early-life malnutrition. Additional research experiences include projects at Harvard University (USA), Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (Singapore) and Lleida Universitat (Spain).
