Dynamic Campus Transition

The following email was sent to Andrews University employees on Oct. 2, 2020.

Dear colleagues,

Early last week, the administration sent you a message letting you know that we were moving toward an outsourcing partnership with Dynamic Campus for our IT services. Yesterday the partnership formally began, and I want to give you a brief update at this point.

Under our partnership with Dynamic Campus, management of IT services and IT staff will fall under Dynamic Campus (as is the case with Bon Appetit and our Bookstore). The formal employment relationship of employees will vary due to individual circumstances, with many employees fully transitioning to be employees of Dynamic Campus at Andrews University, while others will remain short- or longer-term on the Andrews University payroll. In addition, five individuals have chosen not to be part of the transition at all. Student employees will remain employed through Andrews University as currently.

All IT staff, however, will remain fully engaged as our colleagues at Andrews University, serving our campus community and fulfilling our mission. We will also continue to engage with IT staff directly as before and they will be there for your needs as before, so please continue to engage with them as you have done.

Next week, in cooperation with Dynamic Campus, administration will post some Q&A’s about the transition to give some more detailed responses to questions you might have. At that time we will also introduce you to new faces that you might see around, so that when you see them, you can welcome them to our campus.

In the meantime, I want to thank our ITS colleagues for their amazing commitment and service to the University. I want the rest of the campus to know on your behalf that the commitment will not change. And I want you, the ITS team, and Dynamic Campus management to know from the rest of the campus community that we look forward to continued excellent partnership and collegiality.
