Spring Graduation Services

Campus Announcements | Posted on May 6, 2021

Spring graduation services will be May 7–9, 2021, on the Berrien Springs campus of Andrews University. There will be four Commencement services over the weekend. Students participating virtually will be celebrated in a slide presentation in their respective Commencement services.

Due to State of Michigan COVID-19 protocols, only the in-person graduates will be permitted inside for the Commencement services. As guests will not be permitted to attend Commencement services in person, a drive-in viewing area with large LED screens will be available by ticket only. Graduates are to pick up their allocated tickets at the University Bookstore, May 3–7.

On Saturday, May 8, Wintley A. Phipps will offer the address for both Baccalaureate services. He will also receive an honorary degree during the Dedication and Commencement service on Saturday evening.

Phipps is a vocal artist and composer. He serves as senior pastor of the Palm Bay SDA Church in Palm Bay, Florida, and is founder/CEO/president of U.S. Dream Academy, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides mentoring and tutoring to children of incarcerated parents and children falling behind in school and living in high-risk environments. Since its founding in 1998, U.S. Dream Academy has served nearly 10,000 students.
