Scheduled Firewall Maintenance & Network Outages
As part of continuous efforts to ensure the availability, reliability and performance of Andrews University’s network technology infrastructure, ITS will be completing a major network migration to our firewalls this month. Please take note of the scheduled outage times and the impact on services outlined below.
Outage 1
Date: Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021
Start time: 8 p.m.
Estimated outage time: Approximately one hour
Services affected include:
- Network file resources (such as G and H drives)
- Network printing services
- Administrative and Vault services
Outage 2
Date: Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021
Start time: 8 p.m.
Estimated outage time: Up to two hours
Services affected include:
- ALL campus network services will be unavailable. This includes services listed from the Dec. 19 outage and
- No Internet access from on-campus
- VPN will be offline
A follow-up communication will be sent prior to next weekend’s scheduled network outage.
