This week, Environmental Fridays, Season II, Episode 1, on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. EST, features Caribbean - South American Geogenomics: Fusing Genetics and Geology by John Weber, PhD, professor of geology from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan.

Bios:
John Weber completed degrees at Moraine Valley Community College (AS), Southern Illinois University (BS, MS), and Northwestern University (PhD, advisor: Bob Speed). He is currently a professor of geology at Grand Valley State University (Allendale, Michigan, United States) where he teaches and does research with undergraduate geology majors. He also teaches geology field school nearly every summer in Red Lodge, Montana, United States, and in Baku, Azerbaijan. His research involves using GPS satellite data and structural geology, geochronology, and geomorphology techniques to study active and fossil deformation in Trinidad and Tobago, in Slovenia and the circum-Adriatic, and in Azerbaijan. He also studies meteorite impact craters and regularly consults for the petroleum and hydrology industries. John was elected a Geological Society of America Fellow in 2014. 

Abiadon Henry was born in Mason Hall, Tobago, and was raised by his mother and elder sister. He completed his secondary schooling at Bishop’s High School (BHS), Tobago, and furthered his studies at the University of the Southern Caribbean, Maracas, Trinidad, where he graduated with a BSc in biology (Magna Cum Laude). He is a known nature lover who has a passion for health, herbs, nutrition and healing. In pursuit of his goal to become a healthcare provider, in 2021 he started his natural care business by the name of Don Effect Natural Health where he provides natural solutions for arthritis, sinuses, skin and hair problems. Abiadon is currently pursuing his master’s in public health and is about to journey into his doctorate and PhD in natural medicine. Abiadon is passionate about healing and hopes to make significant impacts in the lives of many.
