2022 Black History Month: Reclaiming Our Narrative

Campus & Student Life | Posted on February 24, 2022

The Black History Month Planning Committee is excited to engage the entire Andrews University community in a month-long recognition and celebration of the struggles, triumphs and contributions of African Americans and people of the African diaspora in the United States.

Our theme for 2022 is "Reclaiming Our Narrative." It is our intent that the theme will allow us to counter dominant narratives that attempt to label or mislabel the experiences and worth of Black people.

Our main celebration weekend will take place Feb. 3–5. You can find the full slate of events, including information about short courses, Impact vespers, New Life Fellowship church services, and other social events here.
