How Business Banking Can Help Fund Your Idea

This presentation is part of a short course (Tuesday choices) that introduces the audience to tools, organizations and companies in the area that can be a resource in their entrepreurial path. It is open to all students, faculty and staff of Andrews University (not open to the general public). It will take place in Garber Auditorium in Chan Shun Hall on Feb. 15 at 11:30 a.m.

Topic of Presentation
The ins and outs of commercial lending for small businesses. The focus will be on financing options for small startup businesses including private, traditional and Small Business Association (SBA) finance options. Finally, the speaker will explain what lenders want to see in small businesses and their owners in order to obtain financing.

About the Speaker
Austin Weber graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a degree in finance and sports management. He has worked at Honor Credit Union for the past 5 years in their commercial lending department. He started as an intern while attending Loyola and moved into a full-time position out of college. He started his career as a Commercial Underwriter before accepting a position as a Commercial Loan Officer. In these positions, he has worked with a variety of small business owners throughout the state of Michigan covering many industries like restaurants, factory productions and others.
