We are saddened to inform the campus of the death of Terry Dodge Jr., assistant professor in the Department of Aviation. Terry died Friday, April 8, of cancer.

Please remember the Dodge family in your thoughts and prayers as they process this difficult loss.

The funeral was held at the Stevensville Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, April 10, at 3 p.m. Additional details will be added in the Life Stories section of the Andrews Agenda as they become available. You are invited to share memories and condolences with the family below.

I had the priviledge to know and work with Terry when he was in the ITS office. He was a joy to get to know and visit with, and he was such a talented technician. Always arrived with a smile and troubleshot problems within moments. My prayers go out to his family. Terry is with the LORD and someday we'll all know why God chose to take him so soon.

I liked that Terry was researching The Legendary Sam Campbell, author, filmmaker, and friend of Adventist schools across the USA. Sorry that work has stopped. I don't know his wife and children, but I wish God's blessings and comfort upon them in this sad time. Rosie Nash

I had the privilege of canoeing and filming with Terry in the Quetico on one of his film projects he was so passionate about. I don’t know if his work will ever get published, but the 12 days/100+ miles of canoeing was a great experience. Rest In Peace my friend. Jonathan B

I have had the honor and privilege to know Terry these last two years. He is an amazing man, a great teacher, and a man I was glad to call a friend. In the short time we have known each other he has touched my life and will always be remembered. Nick S.

I had the joy of teaching Terry’s wife Jill during the first fall semester I was employed in the School of Education. It was wonderful watching the Dodge’s marriage and family grow over the years. It was with great sadness that I learned of Terry’s death. I wish Jill and their children the best as they live through their grief. May you all be held in the hands of the Holy Spirit and surrounded by the angels of heaven.

Terry was the fastest snow shoveler I have ever seen. He loved to be helpful and of service. His family was his treasure, and he knew it. He had great compassion and his creativity and interests led him into the lives of many. His work as a film maker and creative will be sorely missed. This is not goodbye. See you soon, T.D. Soon you won’t need wings to fly.

I worked for Terry as a student worker and then again later with him. He was such a great boss and we had so many good conversations about life and relationships and videography, he was a very kind soul, and i know he loved his wife and children soo much, he talked about them often. I pray for the family and that they can rest in the peace that can only come from the Lord during this horrible time, and know that their husband and family loved them.

Terry was a spectacularly friendly, helpful, good natured, and kind-heartened man. He would go out of his way at his own expense to provide care and assistance to others. May our broken hearts be sustained by our fond memories of Terry and our certainty in Jesus' faithfulness to us in His absolute promise of resurrection and to stop the tears. RC...
