Health and Wellness Day ... and More!

Campus Announcements | Posted on September 22, 2022

Hello, Andrews University family!

I want to make you aware of some awesome wellness events happening very soon.

AU Health and Wellness Day: This inaugural celebration will happen this Sunday, Sept. 25, following the Bradley Family Harvest Run, hosted by Alumni Services. Join us from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Andreasen Center to enjoy food trucks, free mini chair massages, therapy dogs, yard games, giveaways, delicious snacks and other wellness demonstrations. Family and friends are welcome! Visit every booth to be entered into a raffle to win an Apple Watch!

Krav Maga Self-Defense Class: In conjunction with Health and Wellness Day, students may also sign up to attend a Krav Maga self-defense class instructed by martial arts expert Aristede Dukes. This class will be held in the Bridgetown Studio, located on the second floor of the Andreasen Center, from 2–3:30 p.m. Limited space is available, so don’t wait to reserve your spot in the app. It could save your life! Co-curricular credit will be provided for attending the class.

Gym Class Heroes Challenge: Our Health and Wellness Day will also kick off our first University Wellness challenge of the year! Our Gym Class Heroes Challenge will determine who can attend the most fitness classes at the Andreasen Center between Monday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Oct. 7. There are tons of class options such as high intensity interval training, kickboxing, stretching, water aerobics and more. Our grand prize winner will receive an Apple Watch, with free personal training or massages by Relief Chiropractic for runners-up. To sign up for the challenge, complete the entry form here.

We hope you’ll join us for these events! Have any questions? Please let me know.
