“Bud” Warren E. Davis, 90, of Berrien Springs, passed to his rest on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at 11:30 p.m.

All are welcome at the Celebration of Life service at Eau Claire Seventh-day Adventist Church on Friday, Dec. 16, at 2:30 p.m. Services are provided by Allred Funeral Home, Berrien Springs. Messages and memories may be shared online at www.allredfuneralhome.com.

Bud was born to Milford and Lorena Davis on March 16, 1932, the second of three sons. He married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Glynn, on June 8, 1952. To this union six children were born: Daniel (Marilyn), Julie (David), Patricia (Douglas), Pamela (Michael—deceased), Candy (Conrad Jr.) and Mary (Randy). As time passed, he and Phyllis were blessed with 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren—so far! Bud was predeceased by his parents, his wife, two brothers and his sons-in-law, Michael and Terry.

Bud served in the United States Army for just under two years during the Korean War. His professions included farmer, private-duty nurse (LPN), electrician and 20 years of work in Plant Services at Andrews University.

Following his retirement in 1998, he continued his involvement in Audio/Visual support for his church and keeping up with his house, yard and bird-feeding stations. Time with family, along with these pursuits, filled his days, and he enjoyed them right up until his death.

He went to his rest confident in this promise:

"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
