Americana Soundscape is a concert that will feature the music of American scenes and composers primarily from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. From the beginning with Gershwin’s lively Strike Up the Band all the way to the sounds of Barker’s arrangement of Tin Pan Alley, this concert is sure to delight! Included are favorites from Henry Mancini, Aaron Copland, and Cole Porter, as well as Florence Price’s Juba Dance.

 

Join the Andrews University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Denisse Santos-Gooden for an afternoon of toe-tapping and swaying sweet melodies on April 19, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Howard Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at howard.andrews.edu

The Wind Symphony has performed in England, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and throughout the United States.
