The Andrews University Wind Symphony will present a collaborative vespers concert.
On Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center, the Andrews University Wind Symphony will present its annual vespers concert, titled “Sing Praise!” This year, the Wind Symphony, conducted by Denisse Santos-Gooden, will be joined by the Andrews University Singers, directed by Stephen Zork, and the Berrien Springs Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church praise team, coordinated by Myrna Araujo-Constantine, creating a powerful shared music experience.
The audience is invited to experience the joy of music-making through listening and singing together. The program will feature a variety of hymns, including “O God, Our Help in Ages Past,” “Rejoice, the Lord is King,” “Lead On, O King Eternal,” “I Will Wait for You,” “He Will Hold Me Fast” and “Shall We Gather at the River?” The ensembles will also perform contemporary works inspired by biblical texts.
The event is free, and no tickets are required. For additional information, contact the Howard box office at 269-471-3560. For a full season schedule of events at the Howard Performing Arts Center, visit howard.andrews.edu.
