25 Years of Service: Deborah Andvik

For 25 years, Deborah Andvik has been a steady hand and generous heart at Andrews University. From her early days in the School of Arts and Sciences to her leadership in the College of Health & Human Services, she has embodied excellence with conviction, action and humility.

Deby never sought the spotlight, yet her influence has been indelible—connecting people, solving problems and lifting spirits along the way. Whether planning meaningful campus events, such as the Poverty Simulation Workshop and weekly lunchtime walking groups, or sharing vegetables from her overflowing garden, she has led with grace and purpose.

As she enters retirement, Deby is not slowing down. Instead, she is deepening her lifelong mission of service through FARM STEW International, where she will continue touching communities around the world. She leaves us with this powerful reminder: “Whatever you do, do it to the glory of God, because He is the one we’re truly serving.”
