25 Years of Service: Trevor O’Reggio
Chair and Professor of Church History, Department of Church History
Prior to joining the seminary, Trevor O’Reggio served as a pastor, dean of men, Spanish teacher and U.S. Army Reserve chaplain. Trevor joined the seminary faculty in 2001 and is professor of church history. He has served as director of the MA in Pastoral Ministry Program, and since 2019, he has chaired the Department of Church History. Through the years, his colleagues have expressed their appreciation for his wisdom, collegiality and leadership.
Trevor’s students note his attentive listening to and care for each student. His engaging, energetic and inspiring lectures impart to them an outstanding understanding of the background of Christianity from a biblical and prophetic perspective. Through his teaching, he helps them appreciate the current freedoms and opportunities in life they enjoy, encourages them to develop a trust in a loving God and motivates them to share their theological-historical knowledge within and outside of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
With his passion for history and its influence today, Trevor has published several books: “Between Alienation and Citizenship,” “Voices from the Reformation,” “Essays on American Religious History” and “Seven Secrets of a Joyful Life.”
Thank you, Trevor, for your 25 years of dedicated ministry and godly service to Andrews University.
