35 Years of Service: Ronald Knott
Director, Andrews University Press
For 35 years, Ron Knott has been much more than the director of Andrews University Press. He has been a trusted mentor, a gracious colleague and a spiritual anchor to those blessed to work with him.
Ron’s journey at Andrews began in 1981 as a University staff writer. He eventually became director of public relations in 1987. After a season at the General Conference, he returned in 1999 to lead Andrews University Press.
Under his leadership, the press has become the premier academic publishing house serving the worldwide Adventist Church and has carried the name of Andrews University around the globe.
Yet those who know Ron speak not of the number of publications or sales figures, although both are impressive. Instead, they remark on his warm smile and steady faith. He celebrates others’ successes far more than his own, taking joy in seeing students grow, colleagues flourish and readers blessed.
The deepest tribute is simple: Countless lives are closer to Jesus because Ron chose to serve faithfully, kindly and with unwavering love for this University and its mission.
Thank you, Ron. World changers are made here, and you have helped make them.
