We are posthumously conferring the Faith Engagement Award on Michael Harrington and his service team.

Many people may not stop to notice this group of staff—or may not even realize the extent of their work—but Michael Harrington and his team have exemplified Christ-like service in every way. Michael’s infectious smile and positive, missional spirit permeated everything he did. While some may view the work of Michael and his team as menial, their willingness to serve and their flexibility make nearly all of our spiritual gatherings—and many other campus events—possible.

Michael, who tragically passed away in a vehicular accident last year, embodied the significance and sacredness of these often unsung heroes. His life reminds us of how essential their work is to our campus and our ability to engage one another—and the world—as a faith-filled community.
