Founded in Faith, Forward in Mission

Founded in 1874 as Battle Creek College, Andrews University was the first Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning. In 2024, the Andrews family celebrated the University’s 150th anniversary under the theme “Founded in Faith. Forward in Mission.” This theme reflects not only our heritage, but the direction Andrews has taken over the past four years — moving forward in mission with purpose, faith and resolve.
