Your great little 2017 KZ Escape (E191BH) trailer for a couple or small family.

Queen size bed and a couple bunks for the kids; and a friend might sleep in the dinette area.

Made some fun memories, but we don’t need it anymore.

With the following upgrades and work, it's a much better & sturdier trailer. $9,995 O.B.O.

FREE Additions I can throw in:

1. I will throw in Basic cutlery, plates, cups, towels, pillows, sheets. (At least $100 value)

2. I will throw in a sturdy plastic step stool for entry. ($50 value)

3. I will throw in the Curt sliding anti-sway control bar ($50 value)

4. If you don’t have one, I might throw in a Bluetooth Brake controller. ($300 value - required for in Michigan for this weight trailer. See CURT 7 pin Bluetooth brake controller on Amazon, they work great and I only use them. If you have a newer full-size truck you probably don’t need it.) We can discuss.

Upgrades

1. Porcelain toilet

2. 4 heavy duty jackstands vs. factory

3. New wheel bearings in left wheel

4. Newly replaced the Furion FM/AM radio

5. Queen bed mattress topper (not pictured)

Challenges…

July 2025 there was a huge thunderstorm; the trailer had never leaked before since we purchased it in 2023.

I opened the camper storage door about 10 days later and discovered standing water on the vinyl, but the damage was done and the slide-out floor and floor under the front left of the storage was soft.

They put cheap, 1/2” OSB in these things.

Upgrades continued:

6. Removed the whole slide-out and replaced the floor with treated 3/4” plywood.

7. Replaced left side center and front side floor with the plywood and vinyl flooring.

8. Covered entire slide-out underside with vinyl sheathing similar to that used on bathroom walls.

9. Secured the center slide track on the slide-out so it extends and retracts level instead of tilting as it did before.

10. Installed a $270 slide out vinyl cover that moves with the slide-out as it extends/retracts. This protects the top of the slide-out from rain.

Equipment

1. 2 burner stove in kitchen

2. Larger fridge and freezer

3. Microwave

4. Air conditioning

5. Furnace

6. Hot water heater

7. Spare tire

8. 30 pound gas tank

9. Rear tow hitch for accessories like bicycle rack

10. Deep cycle battery and box

11. Wired for solar

12. 20 gallon fresh water tank

13. Powered awning

14. Double hitch locks

15. Hand crack hitch stand (electric is good until it stops working, ask me how I know ;-)
