Howard Center Presents: Altino Brothers

Nerva and Robenson Altino, known as the Altino Brothers, are acclaimed virtuoso pianists celebrated for their exceptional technique, distinctive musical style, and inspiring life story. Their journey began when their father, Jean Lecome Altino, left Haiti in search of a better future, eventually bringing his family to the United States, where he nurtured his sons’ love of music through piano lessons and exposure to classical masterpieces. The brothers received advanced musical training from respected teachers and earned master’s degrees in piano performance from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in 2001 after years of intensive practice and dedication. Beyond their solo careers, they co-founded the Altino Brothers’ Chorale, a large and acclaimed ensemble known for performing both classical and contemporary sacred music. Their performances blend classical, jazz, gospel, and Caribbean influences, earning praise at major venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, as well as appearances on national television.
