Dare to Dream Scholarship

The Dare to Dream Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional ability and/or skills that will significantly impact the Andrews University campus community.



Students may apply for the following competitive scholarships:

  • Performance Scholarships
  • Available to music majors and minors and graduate students, as well as to non-music-major members of departmental ensembles
  • Scholarship amounts vary according to need and availability
  • A few full-tuition scholarships are available on a competitive basis to prospective undergraduate music majors showing exceptional promise.  International students who receive such full-tuition music scholarship offers must present minimum TOEFL scores of 463 (paper-based test) or 49 (internet-based test), as well as proof of ability to cover financial obligations in addition to tuition (room, board, fees, insurance, etc.). These items are due no later than April 1, or the scholarship offer will be rescinded.

  • Music Scholarship Recommendation Form
  • Prospective music majors, minors, and graduate students must complete the process for admission to both Andrews University and the Department of Music
  • Students interested in ensemble performance scholarships should contact the ensemble director for an audition:

  • Graduate Tuition Reduction

o Available to graduate music majors
o Tuition reductions vary from 10%-50%
o To apply:

  • All graduate music students are required to take the Graduate Entrance Exams in Music
  • Students who score well on the exams are eligible for tuition reduction
  • Students may also earn tuition reduction based on GRE scores (not required). Contact the AU School of Graduate Studies for details
  • Graduate Teaching Assistantships & Graduate Scholarships

o Available to graduate music majors
o Assistantships vary up to $5000 per year
o Scholarship amounts vary according to need and availability
