Many of the issues that cripple communities around the world can be overcome through the hands-on application of the principles that are taught to our students. Each year various campus departments take trips out of the country to participate in mission work.

The next volunteer invasive species plant removal work day at Warren Dunes State Park is on Sunday, March 1, from 1–4 p.m. We will meet at the picnic area south of the campground. Enter at the main park entrance and turn right just past the entrance booths on the road to the campground. Travel past the park headquarters towards the campground; the picnic area will be on the
left. GPS Coordinates: 41.907001, -86.591755.
By removing invasive plant species we protect the natural habitat and food supply for birds and animals that live and visit our parks and protect our parks for future generations. We welcome all families and friends. If anyone needs a letter indicating their participation for credit, we can provide this after the event.

The motto of Andrews University is: “Seek Knowledge, Affirm Faith, Change the World.” Here at the missions department, we believe the experience of being a student missionary heavily affirms our motto.
As a missionary you will learn about life from a broader perspective. The missionary calls vary from the United States to across the globe. Whether the culture is more familiar, or very different. Gaining a year of experience in “the real world” will allow for the Andrews student to learn about life in a tangible way.
