Biography

Dr. Julie A. Garcia, OTD, OTR/L, CLT, MBA, is Assistant Professor and Capstone Coordinator at Andrews University. She brings diverse clinical experience in geriatrics across long-term care, acute, and outpatient settings, with a specialization in lymphedema and edema management. Her teaching emphasizes experiential learning, faith integration, and professional identity development. Her research interests include mindfulness, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Dr. Garcia is an active member of AOTA and MiOTA and is passionate about helping students discover purpose in their practice.
