Andrews University would like to extend an invitation for you to join us this summer for an exciting academic program. The Early College Program offers current and recently graduated high school students a college experience on our main campus in Berrien Springs, MI. Students will participate in one college course, enjoy value-added seminars and cultural tours as part of a comprehensive University package.
The landscape of education is quickly changing, and we understand high school students are looking for unique opportunities to enhance their academic journey. We want to share in your journey by offering an exciting way for you to study, have fun and make new friends, as you become a part of the Andrews University community. Here are the details you need to know.
Each student will take one 3 credit hour college class. Students will receive an Andrews University transcript for completed courses. These courses are offered for college credit and we can’t guarantee that your local high school will offer dual enrollment credit. The following courses will be offered in the summer of 2019.
College Writing I
In addition to a college course, students will participate in one enrichment seminar of their choosing. The options include academic exploration topics like "Intro to STEM", leadership training and an ACT/SAT prep course that will feature the option to take the ACT on campus before you leave. Please note: the ACT exam is not available to new incoming freshman. Contact our Explore Andrews office for more details.
In addition to receiving a nationally ranked educational experience, we also hope that you will have a great deal of fun. You will have the opportunity to participate in on campus sports and recreation, as well as enjoy the warm and beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. We will take cultural trips such as spending a day in Chicago, and visit other local cities such as South Bend, IN and Grand Rapids, MI.

Any student who does not meet these requirements may still be admitted at the discretion of the program director and course instructor.
Some courses have limited enrollment and will be filled based on the date an application is received. If demand increases, additional sections of some courses may be offered.
The Andrews Early College Experience is a comprehensive package that is all-inclusive. The price reflects double occupancy in the residence hall, full meal plan, college course, seminar, activities and textbooks. There’s no catch to the price. You pay only one fee for the whole experience.
