You are taking it all in, and it seems that you’re moving right along. Congratulations! We’re glad you chose to take the challenge and that you’re giving this new experience your very best!

We realize that in spite of our best intentions, challenges can be difficult to manage, and may require special attention to not become permanent roadblocks in our lives. Here are some resilience building tips you may find helpful as you continue to navigate through this new academic year:

     1. Pause several times in the day for I minute each time to breathe deeply while clearing your mind.
     2. Remain physically active. Go for a brisk walk daily
     3. Eat healthy meals. Remember that food is your fuel. The quality of your fuel impacts your output
     4. Set realistic goals, prioritize your daily tasks, and remember that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
     5. Establish and maintain healthy boundaries. It’s ok to say “NO” at times.
     6. It is liberating to forgive those who have done you wrong, and even more cathartic to forgive yourself.
     7. Take time out daily to relax. Choose specific emotional and physical spaces to recharge.
     8. Choose to remain in a positive space, and find at least one thing to be grateful for daily.
     9. Choose to be open to change. Adapting to change contributes to greater resilience.
    10. Remember that God has placed you in this space and in this time for a special reason. Find and embrace your mission through daily contact with Him.
