Diana Mitchell is a Staff Counselor and Prevention and Wellness Coordinator at the Counseling & Testing Center. She is responsible for providing individual and group counseling as well as coordinating prevention and wellness programs. She has worked with a wide range of individuals from ages 3 to 99 years old with various issues including, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Physical/sexual Abuse, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Substance Abuse/Dependence, Parenting Skills Training, Life Span Issues, and Marital/Couple Issues. She has provided services in the school settings, office, home based therapy, residential facilities, juvenile detention centers, and nursing homes/assisted living facilities. She has used various techniques to help clients that include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, narrative therapy, journaling, assertiveness/communication skills training, art therapy, play therapy, behavioral modification, strength based therapy, and solution focused therapy.
