Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award
This award recognizes the essential contribution of adjunct faculty who demonstrate excellence in their teaching. One adjunct faculty is selected each year by a faculty committee that reviews student nominations and the following criteria:

Have served as an adjunct at Andrews University for a minimum of four semesters.

Show commitment to the University’s mission.

Show commitment to lifelong learning in relationship to area-related pedagogy.

Demonstrate creativity and innovation in teaching resulting in effective learning.

Stimulate interest of students and encourage them to think imaginatively, critically and independently.

Engage issues of diversity in the classroom.

Develop relationships with students in nurturing and compassionate ways.

Adjust to the needs and interests of students using feedback from assessments.
-
Adjunct faculty who have received the award are not eligible to receive it again.
