Guest tickets for the August graduation ceremony will be available for pick up at the campus bookstore starting July 29, 2024. Students needing guest tickets will need to be financially cleared.

Login to your Financial Aid Self-Serve Banner account to see what you need to complete. The two items that SFS will be looking at are:

1. Account balance (we encourage balances to be cleared but do not withhold guest tickets)
   • Students with balances will need to complete a Collections Exit Information form.
2. Exit counseling for federal direct loans

Financial clearance is also needed for diploma and transcript release. In the case of diploma/transcript requests, account balances (educational and housing) will need to be clear.

Summer refunds are handled slightly different than Fall or Spring in that there are three sessions held in May, June, and July. When your loans and aid post is determined by when your classes begin and when you meet the minimum enrollment credits required for aid to disburse.

If you are not sure when your aid will post and therefore when you can expect to have your refund processed, you should contact your financial advisor or monitor your account in TouchNet. Aid that has not posted will have an "Estimated Financial Aid" description..

For students who are enrolled first and/or full sessions, add/drop was last Wednesday and aid has begun posting for students who met the minimum enrollment requirements.

If you have a credit on your account, you can now request a refund. Requests are usually tracked in to Financial Aid Self Serve Banner by next business day. Refunds should begin processing within 3-5 business days from when a credit is showing. Please monitor your account in TouchNet for more accurate processing times.

If you have selected direct deposit, please make sure that you have a Refund Profile set up in TouchNet. You will receive an email from TouchNet when your eRefund has been processed.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid opened on December 31 for the 2024-25 aid year. Returning students may notice that the FAFSA is usually available on October 1. The launch has been delayed this year because there are major changes and improvements being made to the FAFSA. Federal Student Aid may occasionally pause access to the 2024-25 FAFSA form to perform maintenance and improve user experience. This December launch date will apply only to the 2024-25 FAFSA.

The changes to the FAFSA form include:

• expanded eligibility for federal student aid
• a more streamlined application process
• new terms and processes
