2017 Total Solar Eclipse Trip

Andrews University is pleased to provide you with the opportunity to view the total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017 with an overnight trip to Highland Academy in Portland, TN.

The total eclipse is expected to be viewed by millions. This is the first total solar eclipse to cross the United States since 1979.

Should the weather forecast indicate that viewing the eclipse will not be possible at Highland Academy, we've arranged for alternate viewing locations both east and west of the academy.
