Location: Art & Design Center 115 (Maker Lab)
Date/Time: Friday, Dec. 2, 1:30–4 p.m.

Workshops are open to all students, faculty and staff at Andrews University.

Description:

3D printing machines seem to have become ubiquitous, thanks in part to their much lower costs but also due to their usage versatility for prototyping applications. This is the final part of two workshops designed to help you get hands-on experience in 3D printing.

About Wayne Buckhanan:

Wayne Buckhanan is a former associate professor of engineering at Andrews University. He holds a master's degree and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is also an entrepreneur and has founded organizations and companies throughout his career. Currently, he is the Head of Research and Development of BUIDL DAO LLC, a company with a focus on blockchain, NFT-technology, gaming and metaverses located in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Their flagship project is "The Uplift World," a cross-chain metaverse tapping into the potential of Minecraft but not limited to it.

This workshop on Friday, Oct. 7, follows a previous seminar presentation, although not a pre-requisite. It will use laser cutting and foam materials to allow attendees to have a hands-on experience in rapid prototyping.
