Biography

Misana Msholla was born and raised in Tanzania and currently serves as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at the Andrews University Counseling & Testing Center. He is passionate about walking alongside individuals during difficult seasons of life and helping them discover hope, resilience, and healthy ways of coping.
Misana earned his undergraduate degree in Medicine from Kairuki University in Tanzania, which provided him with a strong foundation in caring for others and understanding their overall health needs. Through his experiences in medicine, he became increasingly aware of the important connection between emotional and psychological well-being and a person’s overall health and quality of life. This realization inspired him to pursue a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Andrews University.
His professional interests include behavioral health, addiction, and working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Misana values providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care that recognizes each person’s unique experiences and strengths.
Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Misana values relationships, community, faith, service, and opportunities to learn from the people around him.
