What's New in 2020-2021 for Adobe Creative Cloud @ Andrews University?

Andrews University is upgrading our Adobe Creative Cloud license to Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprise.
This will allow employees and students to use federated or single sign-on using their Andrews University account to Adobe Creative Cloud apps and services .  Simply use your current Andrews email address and password, then select Company or School Account.  Adobe users are still subject to entitlements outlined by the license agreement between Andrews University and Adobe.

IMPORTANT:
If you have project files (also known as 'assets') stored in Adobe's cloud storage, you will need to transfer them to your new federated Andrews Adobe account.

Acrobat Pro DC installations will be upgraded to the Adobe Creative Cloud Named (all apps) license.
Regardless of whether you use one app or the entire suite, users can now take advantage of the full collection of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you currently using a single app license with Acrobat Pro DC, the license will upgrade automatically.

Andrews University's Licensing Agreement with Adobe Creative Cloud:

  1. Named license (all apps)    $180/person/yr:
    Named user licensing is Adobe's recommended licensing method to use Adobe Creative Cloud and Document Cloud products. Designed for the network-connected scenario where app licenses are managed based on individual user need for use of the app. Users are provided with the full functionality of the software and services giving them access to all the available apps and services based on entitlements established by the University.

    Named User Licensing ties the usage of Adobe apps and services to an individual user and requires periodic Internet connectivity. Computers must connect to Adobe servers for initial activation, and then at least once every 99 days. End users may use their named licenses on mobile devices as Creative Cloud apps are available for use.

    Sign-in at creativecloud.adobe.com with your Andrews email address and password to access Adobe Creative Cloud apps and services.
     
  2. Shared Device license (all apps)    $207/device/yr:
    Shared Device license is a licensing method targeted at educational institutions where software is assigned to a device instead of an individual.   These apps and services are available as part of the University's license agreement with Adobe and is ideal for computer labs and classrooms. For example, Adobe Creative Cloud apps can be installed on University computer labs to allow students and teachers who have access to these labs regosoAdobe's products and services.  An Adobe ID is required to use the software. Users can create a free Adobe ID at account.adobe.com.
     
  3. Single Named license - Acrobat Pro only [DEPRECATED]:
    As of FY 2020-2021, this licensing option is no longer available for new installations.  Existing Acrobat Pro DC installations will be upgraded to the Adobe Creative Cloud Named (all apps) license.
