Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Concert

The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra will present its Young Artist Concert on Saturday, April 10, at 9:00 p.m.  in the Howard Performing Arts Center.  The finalists who will be performing are Chiblie Coleman, soprano (“Hear Ye, Israel” from Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn); Kristina Cress, violin (Allegro from Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, Op. 14); Denny Hong, piano (Maestoso from Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 15 by Johannes

Brahms; Jeong Min Kin, violin (Allegro moderato from Violin Concerto No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 22 by Henryk Wieniawsky); Nina Menezes, soprano (“Bell Song” from Lakmé by Léo Delibes; Wen-Ting Ong, piano (Allegro, ma non troppo from Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major, Op. 26 by Sergei Prokofiev; and Josué Rodríguez Coutino, oboe (Allegro spiritoso from Oboe Concerto in C Major, Hob VII: C1 by Franz Joseph Haydn).
