The featured speaker, Matthew Allen, is Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Wayne State University. He has received several honors and awards including some from NIH, NSF, Eli Lilly and Bausch & Lomb. He has published just over 18 peer-reviewed journal articles based on his research as an undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral student. His current research as an independent investigator is multidisciplinary covering the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, and biology.
