8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. : FLAG Camp (Fun Learning About God). Meet at the Pathfinder Building for complimentary programming for children ages 5-14 years old. Plan to register your children for a day full of fun activities. We'll provide lunch, so you can sit back and relax while visiting classmates you haven't seen in way too long. 8:30 - 10 a.m. : Women's Scholarship Committee Brunch in the Lincoln Room or Dining Services. This event is hosted by Demetra Andreasen and the Women's Scholarship Committee. In her presentation "Women in Ministry: Adventism in the Chinese Context" our guest speaker, Pastor Rebekah Liu, will describe the work of SDA female pastors in China. 8 & 9 a.m. : Wes Christiansen Memorial Gold Outing at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Indiana. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the shot gun start will be at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $75 per participant and $40 for AU students. Please register here for this event.
10 a.m. : Come out and enjoy a round of disc golf at the new AU disc Golf Course. Bring your friends, or if you don't have any that are exercise oriented, come and meet some new friends. The 18 hole (basket) course will give you at least a 2-mile stroll even if you throw it right to the basket. Bring your own discs or borrow one from us (first come, first served). If that is not enough to get you out on our new course, there are chances to win your own disc. Come on out and show us your best shots! We will be meeting at the start of the AU Disc Golf course next to Beaty Gym (grassy area off the parking lot) and the entry fee is $5. This even is sponsored by Fitness & Exercise Studies (Department of Nutrition & Wellness).
10 a.m. : There will be a campus bus tour. The bus will load at the Alumni House parking lot at 9:45 a.m. This tour is designed in part, as a trip down memory lane, but it will also introduce you to several new developments on campus. Enjoy a ride to our productive farm and through the university orchards while exploring all edges of campus, including the lovely new campus entrance.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. : Book signing in the James White Library lobby with Pollyanna Prosper Barnes.
11:30 a.m. : There will be a hard hat tour of Buller Hall construction, the undergraduate learning center. Please meet in the lobby of Nethery Hall to attend this event.
12:30 p.m. : Tambunan's Pizza, Pop and Professionals student programming in the Great Lakes Room of the Student Center. This event is open to all students and provides an invaluable opportunity to learn and network with professionals in the field. Students will hear practical advice and have a chance to ask questions of a panel of alums. This even is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Andrews Almni, Tim (BBA'90) and Ellen (MSMT'80) Tambunan. This is a student only event. 2 - 3 p.m. : A reunion for former Cashiers who worked at KB Myers will be meeting at the Alumni House.
2 - 3 p.m. : The Sigfried H. Horn Archaeological Museum will be having a lecture entitled Gateways to the Past. The location for this event is 9047 US 31 (between Apple Valley and University Medical Specialties).
4:30 - 6 p.m. : The Department of Social Work is have a reception in the Whirlpool Room in Chan Shun Hall.
4:45 & 5:15 p.m. : Watch the 23rd Annual Homecoming Parade. Viewing bleachers are located in the Chan Shun Hall parking lot. Come out and enjoy a free elephant ear and cascade of confetti (Please note: confetti is biodegradable) while you watch the pageantry of the creative floats, marching bands and fire trucks move through campus. Current students and reunion classes are encouraged to march with your classmates (Line up at 4:45 p.m. in the PMC parking lot). Over $500 in prize money will go to the winning entries.
5:45 p.m. : There will be a Parade Awards Ceremony in the Administration Building Parking Lot. Come cheer for the winners of the Homecoming Parade at the end of their route.
6:30 p.m. :ÃâàCome join us for the International Flag-Raising Ceremony on the University Green. Our campus is world renowned for its diversity and for the manner in which it reflects the international composition of our world church. The annual International Flag-Raising Ceremony provides a beautiful portrayal of our global family. If you have international attire, please wear it proudly! You are also invited to march with us in the preceding parade.
7:30 p.m. : There will be a Missions Vespers and Cafe in the Howard Performing Arts Center. Join us for this Mission Vespers sponsored by the Campus Ministries Missions Department who will share stories of the many ways God blesses every year. We will also hear from returning student missionaries, their parents and alumni who have served as missionaries.
8:00 p.m. : Please join us in the Seminary Chapel for Impact with Deliverance, Journey and special Alumni guests.
