Candidacy & Accreditation

 In August of 2014, The School of Communication Sciences & Disorders was awarded candidacy by the American Speech and Hearing Association's Council for Academic Accreditation. This award enabled the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders to begin our much anticipated Master of Science Program in Speech-Language Pathology.

The Master of Science program in speech-language pathology at Andrews University is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  This is a “pre-accreditation” status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of five years.

2019 Accreditation Site Visit 

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at Andrews University recently had a visit from the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). The site visit was April 1-2, 2019.

The results pertaining to our accreditation status will be posted as soon as more information is available.
