Education

Dean Carmona graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She also completed a dual Master’s degree from Andrews, where she received an MA in Youth & Young Adult Ministry as well as a Master’s in Social Work with an emphasis in Trauma Informed Focus and Marriage & Family.

Biography

Dean Carmona was born in South Bend, Indiana to Dana and Daniel Carmona. Their family, deeply passionate about ministry, moved to different states around the country during her childhood until they returned to Berrien Springs during her high school years. After graduating from Andrews Academy, she transitioned to the University where her heart for people led her to study Social Work. Immediately after completing her course work, she moved to Knoxville, TN where she worked as the Assistant Chaplain at Advent House on the campus of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. In 2018 she began her dual degree Master’s program at Andrews, which she completed in May of 2021. In her free time, Dean Carmona loves traveling to visit friends and family, visiting art galleries, reading a good book and listening to soundtracks from her favorite Broadway musicals.
