New students. New energy. New perspectives. New surprises.
You are new and you are valued. So pack those bags, it's almost time to get on the road!
Your First 100 Days at Andrews University will lay the foundation for your success over the coming semesters. That’s why we want to stay in touch with you during the semester. We’ve designed Co-Curricular Short Courses and seven Mentoring Group sessions to help you start strong. These appointments are required for first-year students and transfer students with 24 or fewer credits, so please bring your Andrews ID so we can “scan” you in and out of each program.
Over the course of Orientation Week (fall semester only) and your First 100 Days, you will have an opportunity to select from several Co-Curricular Short Courses that will continue to help you make the transition to University Life. These will be offered on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. during the co-curricular period. Short courses each contain five sessions and are scheduled into two blocks - from Sept. 5 to Oct. 17 and from Oct. 31 to Nov. 28. You will be emailed a list of Short Course descriptions and locations before each block begins. Co-curricular credit will be given for attending these courses.
You won’t be going through Orientation Week or your First 100 Days alone! You’ll meet regularly with a group of other new students led by two of our New Student Mentors. They remember what it was like to be in your shoes. And they’ll be there to make your transition to University life smooth and enjoyable. You will be assigned to a Mentoring Group at First Stop and will meet with them four times throughout Orientation Week (see schedule) and three more times during the First 100 Days.
