ChemSem - Sara Kobilka
"Bringing Science to the Masses"
Thu, September 1, 2011 @ 04:30 pm - 05:30 pm
Chemistry Seminar with Sara Kobilka, SCI: "Bringing Science to the Masses".
Be a part of our department's seminar class history without leaving home: all are invited to our very first live-streamed Chemistry Seminar this coming Thursday, September 1st at 4:30 p.m.
This unique online event can be viewed online at this link.
To sign in, connect as a "Guest" and put your real name in when prompted. Guests will be able to communicate by writing questions for the speaker when online. If you miss the live presentation, we will provide you with a link to the archived presentation.
Thursday's presentation is the first talk in our Fall 2011 Departmental Seminar presentation series normally held in the Chemistry Amphitheater (A107 Halenz Hall). We anticipate having all subsequent departmental seminars 'streamed' and archived online. A copy of the entire semester's presentations are attached.
Ironically, this Thursday's seminar is about Bringing Science to the Masses.
The speaker is Sara Kobilka, Science Outreach Presenter, Science Center of Iowa, Des Moines, IA. In addition to being live-streamed, Thursday's talk will be a webinar-styled format in which our speaker will be off-campus, in this case, in Iowa.
