Social Consciousness: Lessons from Rwanda

On Thursday, Apr. 12 at 7 p.m., there will be a film screening of Sometimes in April, followed by a Q&A Session in the Newbold Auditorium of Buller Hall.
Organized by the Graduate Student Association, Seminary Student Forum and School of Graduate Studies, the conferences will deal with issues during times of conflict based on lessons learned from Rwanda. The keynote speaker features Carl Wilkens, Co-Founder of World Outside My Shoes, former Director of ADRA Rwanda, and the only American to remain in Rwanda during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against Tutsis. Other speakers include Heather-Dawn Small, David Sedlacek, Leonard Gashugi, Martin Hanna, Christon Arthur, Ann Gibson, and more.
