Biography

Melissa Poua is an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. She joined the Andrews faculty in the fall of 2014.

Born in Holland, Michigan, Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory sciences from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, in 2001. Melissa earned a Master of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science with a concentration in medical microbiology and biochemistry from the University of Florida in 2019.

Melissa Poua holds certification with the American Society for Clinical Pathology and has over ten years of laboratory experience in both clinic and hospital settings.
