Clinical Internship, Plant-based Focus and Optional MS in Nutrition and Wellness

Also enroll in our MS in Nutrition and Wellness with a plant-based/vegetarian focus. If you are accepted for the internship through DICAS, then an internal application is all that is needed to apply for the MS Nutrition and Wellness*

Program Highlights:

  • This program has a medical nutrition therapy (clinical) emphasis with a plant-based/vegetarian focus.
  • The internship is a 9-month supervised practice program that is conducted at affiliated hospital, community and food service sites located across the U.S. These rotations consist of 5 months of clinical nutrition, 2 months of foodservice management, and 1 month of community nutrition.
  • A pre-test is held virtually at the beginning of August, followed by an in-person 3-day orientation at Andrews University mid-August. Then rotations run from the end of August- end of April.
  • All accepted interns will enroll in a full-time program requiring 4 days per week and will complete at least 1016 supervised practice hours.
  • The internship can also count towards 12 credits of the MS Nutrition and Wellness degree for those who are dual-enrolled.
  • Early enrollment for DI available upon accepted enrollment into the MS Nutrition and Wellness program.
